Yve completed her schooling at D.F.Malan High School and embarked on her music studies at the University of Stellenbosch, specializing in Cello. Her love for music brought her to eventually fulfill a lifelong dream of being a member of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. Always eager to pursue her other interests, she began yet another 3 year course, to pursue her other love for architecture by studying Interior Design at the Cape Technikon.
At the age of 27, Yve - the eternal student - found herself unemployed and needing to put all her loves and passions into action. She decided to join the corporate retail industry, spending 7 years as a fashion buyer at both Truworths and the Foschini Group. At that time she started ceramic lessons with the amazing Karen Scott, with whom she still learns. Yve’s corporate life ended in 2008 when she decided to once again to pursue her hobbies and turn them into more than just that.
For the past 2 years Yve has actively pursued her ceramic range, called Clay Station, with the hope of bringing beauty into the lives and homes of all.
